Dog friendly places in Cardiff

Every now and then i babysit little Marley and when he's in the big smoke, i like to take him out and about with me. I spend most of the time hovering outside shops and coffee / cake shops, wondering if i can go in or not.

So here is the top places in Cardiff that is Dog friendly and that Marley loves to visit....

28 Castle Arcade, Cardiff CF10 1BW

Marley loves going to Science Cream on Castle street, The staff are always super nice to him and he loves his free Puppachino. You can sit outside or inside. The ice cream is delicious, so this is my excuse to go for an ice cream.

Cafe Castan Llandaff Fields Pontcanna Cardiff CF11 9QJ

Opening Hours: Mon-Sat 8:30am-7pm; Sun 9am-5pm

Marley loves running around Llandaf fields, making friends and sniffing bums. After and hour or two he likes a little rest before heading home ( it's definitely not me and Nicky who wants a rest... nope) Castan cafe is perfect and the offer water for dogs and have a jar of biscuits for them.

Their tempting breakfast treats are prepared from scratch using the best locally sourced ingredients. Everything from brioche buns to baked beans are made in house. They aim to give them the best possible start to the day.

They welcome dogs and i can honestly say that the breakfast is unbelievable

On the menu they have, Pizza, Salads, Mains and they do an amazing Sunday Lunch

Juno Lounge is on the buzzy Wellfield Road in Roath, Cardiff. It's a lovely corner spot has lovely big windows (that open right up) that wrap around both sides , great place to watch the world stream by. They have a pretty grand roof terrace tucked away out the back, so there’s a few options on where you can enjoy their great range of food and drinks (including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus) and dogs are welcomed.

Longhouse, The Tumble, St Nicholas, Cardiff CF5 6SA

Our traditional Welsh longhouse is perched on The Tumble with beautiful views over looking the city. Situated close to Culverhouse Cross & between Cowbridge & Cardiff we are ideally located for an escape from the hustle & bustle and just a short hop off the M4.

The new owner ( Andy) decided it was time to shake off the shackles of a brewery owned site & took the plunge on this famous landmark, an authentic 17th century Longhouse steeped in history & full of original features. The Longhouse is full of character, with exposed stone walls, log burning fire & flagstone floor.

Brewdog welcome any four-legged friend in their establishment and they do it in style with some doggy treats and water. Brewdog care about many things but have two main focuses above all others – beer and people. They also offer their staff - Puppy Parental Leave - Brewdog is the first in the industry to give their staff a working week’s leave to help settle a new furry family member into their home.

St Canna's Alehouse, which is in Canton , is the new project from baptist minister, The Rev James Karran and it launched in April and offers a wide variety of local and exciting new ales.

From two guys in a garage to a bespoke brewery with thousands of fans, we’ve grown a lot since 2012.Since then, every year has been bigger and better.Tiny Rebel, an award-winning brewery from Newport, South Wales.

They are the youngest and only Welsh brewery to win Champion beer of Britain.

But really, we’re just fans of super tasty beer.

At Small Bar Cardiff they have 32 taps in total, pouring the worlds best beers. They try to ensure that we have a real focus on the best breweries from Wales first and foremost. They are extremely lucky in that they genuinely have world class breweries right here on their doorstep who we are privileged to call friends. Crafty Devil, Pipes, Lines and Tiny Rebel are within the city limits or just a short drive away, meaning we can pour their beers fresh as fresh can be.

They also showcase the best from elsewhere in the UK, with The Kernel, Magic Rock, Buxton, Siren and Tempest to name a few making regular appearances on our tap lists.

They have been pouring beer in Cardiff since October 2016.
