A must stay on Llŷn Peninsula

Ever dreamt of swapping the sound of city traffic for birds chirping their hearts out and sheep baa-ing for their breakfast? Well, your dream might just be a charming old mill conversion in the serene village of Rhoshirwaun on the picturesque Llyn Peninsula.

As soon as we stepped foot into this rural retreat, it was clear we'd been invited into a space brimming with love and soul. The magic creator behind this cosy haven is none other than Daloni Metcalfe – TV superstar from Ffermio on S4C, entrepreneur of Cwt Tatws, and all-round superb woman. Seriously, if you ever get a chance for a chinwag with her, grab it with both hands!

As we settled in, a hamper of local delights welcomed us, from the salty-sweet Halen Mon fudge to a rich brew of Poblado coffee. And let me tell you, this wasn't any old hamper; it was like a picnic of the gods, stuffed with treats including mouth-watering brownies.

Now, Daloni owns the snazziest lifestyle store on the Peninsula, so you bet the mill's décor was nothing short of stunning. It's as if a Homes & Gardens magazine spread came to life! Eclectic pieces blended seamlessly to create an incredible space that had me gawping like a kid in a sweet shop.

Welsh wool throws? Check. Retro Roberts radio? Yup. King and queen-worthy dining table? You bet. And bathrooms? Three, darling! Plus, the country-style kitchen came stocked with the most fashionable bowls and plates that just begged for a feast to be served.

This stay, that can comfortably sleep 10 people and is a paradise for your four-legged friend, is nestled just a few miles from Aberdaron and Abersoch. It boasts a splendid outdoor area with a BBQ, pizza oven, and even a swing for the kids. Plus, the bar and expansive grounds offer plenty of room for Derek the dog to explore.

Want to soak up luxury comfort while being a stone's throw from picturesque beaches, top-notch restaurants, cosy pubs, and a first-class bakery? Then darling, pack your bags and head here. Prices start from around £500 for a 3-night stay for ten folks. If you’re planning a trip to the Llyn Peninsula, this is the place to stay - trust me!
