Bunch of Grapes. Pontypridd review

Pre lockdown meal at Bunch of Grapes, Pontypridd was a lovely heart warming meal in the cosy conservatory of grape trees growing, rustic chesterfield chairs, mood lighting and calming music.

This was a proper autumn meal of pig cheeks & shortrib with creamy mash and a beer jus. Avacado and chocolate cake with cheeky plums. The star of the show was the sticky toffee pud. I'm a sucker for a classic and this was bang on. Bouncy, fluffy sponge with a rich sticky sauce and homemade ice cream. Perfection. Manages to grab a banana and ginger sourdough loaf and some homemade pork pie on the way out as well. As they have a take away bakery and deli and since lockdown they've expanded the deli to offer a great selection of craft beer.

Prices are reasonable, we paid between £7- £10 for a starter.

Mains start from around £8

I love this place, it's my go to a470 stop for good beer and cracking food. I'm yet to leave with out a takeaway dish or beer.
